City commences with road resurfacing in Atlantis
29 September 2025
The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate is advising residents, road users, businesses and the broader public of roadworks in Atlantis along Bloembosch Street and John Dreyer Street between Neil Hare Road and the R304. A partial road closure between Christopher Starke Street and the R304 will be in place while work is under way. The work starts today, 29 September 2025, and is scheduled to end on Tuesday, 21 October 2025, provided there are no unforeseen delays.
The work will be carried out between 08:00 and 17:30 from Monday to Saturday.
‘I would like to thank residents and road users for their patience over the next month as our teams work hard to complete this road resurfacing project in Atlantis. Once complete, our team will also ensure that all the road markings removed during the process will be reinstated with new retro-reflective road marking paint. This regular maintenance work prolongs the longevity of the City’s road network and helps keep Cape Town moving,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
